On the afternoon of February 20th, SHZQU held an online meeting with the University of Sousse in Tunisia to discuss international education cooperation between China and Tunisia. This meeting also discussed the Chinese education at the University of Sousse. Vice President Liu Shuyun of SHZQU and Vice Dean of the School of Humanities Monia at University of Sousse attended this meeting. Chairman of Asia Pacific Region Tracy Zhang of the Global Development Alliance for Asia&Africa (GDAAA) , chaired the meeting.
After both sides introduced situation of their schools, Vice President Liu had an in-depth exchange with Vice president about the cooperation in establishing a Chinese training center at the University of Sousse. Vice President Liu not only clarified the cooperation framework, but also exchanged views with them on curriculum design and other related matters. Vice Dean Monia was moved by Vice President Liu's pragmatic work attitude and expressed that University of Sousse is very willing to engage in exchanges and cooperation with SHZQU, hoping that both sides can have all-round cooperation. Both parties agree to continue to strengthen consultation and communication and accelerate the implementation of specific project matters.
University of Sousse was established in 1986 and has 17 teaching and research institutions, including 4 Learning department, 3 colleges, and 10 research institutes. At present, the school has more than 2300 faculty and staff with over 28000 students on campus. It has the authority to confer bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees at various levels and is a well-known comprehensive university in Tunisia.
