On the afternoon of June 13, 2025, at the recently concluded 8th National Vocational College Cross-Border E-Commerce Skills Competition, the instructor team and student representatives from the School of Economics and Management at Shanghai Zhongqiao Vocational and Technical University attended the awards ceremony held at Sky Plaza, Shanghai Hongqiao International Import Commodity Exhibition and Sales Company. Under the guidance of Wu Wei, Director of the International Business Program, and Teachers Cao Shanshan, Liu Yuzhu, and Gao Feng, the students fought hard for several months and ultimately achieved outstanding results, including two first prizes and multiple other awards.
The 8th National Vocational College Cross-Border E-Commerce Skills Competition was hosted by the Shanghai Higher Vocational and Technical College Economic Programs Teaching Steering Committee, with the Digital Economy and Cross-Border E-Commerce Professional Committee of the China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association and the Shanghai E-Commerce and Consumption Promotion Center serving as guiding units. Numerous vocational colleges across the country participated in the competition. The School of Economics and Management leadership attached great importance to the event and provided strong support. After months of selection, preparation, intensive training, and guidance, the instructors and students from the International Business and Enterprise Digital Management programs balanced their regular teaching activities with rigorous training, demonstrating tremendous effort and ultimately securing the awards.
At the awards ceremony, representatives from the SEM took the stage to accept the honors. The achievements were attributed to the college's emphasis on teamwork, the dedication of the instructors, and the hard work of the students. This success also highlights the college's consistent focus on cultivating talent with hands-on practical skills and professional competencies.
The competition effectively promoted the integration of teaching and competition, serving as a platform for students to transition from theory to practice and from classroom learning to skill competitions, deeply experiencing the cross-border e-commerce process. It significantly enhanced students' learning enthusiasm and comprehensive cross-border e-commerce capabilities. Through this national competition, the students of the School of Economics and Management fully demonstrated their competitive spirit and professional strength, showcasing the capabilities of the teaching team. At the same time, it reflects the college's efforts in aligning professional development with industry needs and integrating talent cultivation with enterprise requirements. The SEM will take this award as an opportunity to further inspire all full-time teachers to uphold their educational ideals, remain true to their mission of nurturing talent, and comprehensively improve their teaching abilities.
